​Ashdon Primary School is committed to ensuring that every pupil, member of staff, parent, governor and visitor is treated fairly and with respect, and that no one is disadvantaged by who they are or where they come from.

As a maintained school we must comply with the Public Sector Equality Duty under the Equality Act 2010. This requires us to eliminate unlawful discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, and foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not. We must publish information each year showing how we meet this duty, and set equality objectives at least once every four years.

Our full statement sets out how equality is built into the everyday work of the school, the information we hold about our pupils, and the three equality objectives we have agreed for 2026 to 2030.
