Why?

Our lovely old Victorian school building is a centerpiece to our village.
It has also provided a wonderful, community and family focused educational environment to thousands of local children over the years.
Such an old building needs constant repairs and improvements so it can meet the needs of pupils in the 21st century.
As government now makes a very small contribution to the physical upkeep of schools like ours, the parents and broader school community have a vital role to play in ensuring the future of our village school.

Who?

Local people have always been very generous in their support of school events and fund-raising activities. Now we need you to become Friends and make regular donations (however small or large) as this is the way we can fund projects such as the extra external classroom for the older children, the outdoor learning area for reception children, new windows to keep the environment comfortable and reduce the heating bills. These are past projects; there are new, exciting improvements to the learning environment and the school building planned for next year.
